• A heavy, round metallic base.
• A frame (like one used in Young's modulus experiments) connected to a steel wire through a pin vise that's attached to the wall.
• The frame has a hook at the bottom to hang slotted weights.
When a load is applied, the plain mirror of the optical lever rotates, causing the light reflected by the mirror to also change direction. This results in the scale value in the
telescope view changing accordingly.
This setup can be used to measure small displacements based on how much the mirror rotates. Includes slotted weights, 1kg x 5, supplied without reading telescope for reading
the measurements.
