SERIES & PARALLEL COMBINATION OF SPRING APPARATUS

When multiple springs are  connected in series or parallel, their overall spring constant, force, and extension/compression can be 
determined. In a series combination, springs are connected end-to-end, experiencing the same force. In a parallel combination, springs are c onnected side-by-side, experiencing different forces. Parallel springs are slightly larger compared to series springs. The setup is mounted on a heavy metal box with an aluminum scale marked from 0 to 50 cm and includes a weight set of 50 g × 8
