Maxwell'S Vibration Needle

This device is a hollow cylindrical brass tube (40 cm long, 18 cm diameter) with open ends, featuring a central torsion head with a fixed plane mirror. The tube has a graduated scale (0–15 cm) graduated in millimeters on both sides with a vernier for precision (0.05 mm). It includes two solid and two hollow brass cylinders, each 10 cm long, which together fill the tube completely. A superior-quality clamp (Cat No. 2316) and a copper wire of suitable dimensions and length is also provided.
