The setup consists of an aluminum frame (9x9 cm) mounted on a heavy cast iron stand. The frame holds a graduated scale (30-0-30 mm) with two movable knife edges. A plane glass plate is also attached to the metal frame. The equipment includes an acrylic plate and a glass plate (12” x 2”), a set of lenses (plano-convex lens with a focal length of 100 cm and an optical flat), a Vernier caliper, a screw gauge (20x1mm), slotted weights (50g x 5, two sets), a wooden bench, and a spherometer.
